The Garcia family’s journey from the sun-drenched shores of Sète, France, to the heart of Sarasota is a story of passion, tradition, and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread.

Owners Joël and Sophie spent over 20 years mastering the art of French baking before taking a leap of faith in 2015 to fulfill their dream—bringing a true taste of France to Florida. Their love for authentic flavors and warm hospitality quickly made Rendez-Vous a local favorite.

In 2017, their son Julien and his wife Orlane, along with their daughter Mylaine and her husband Aurélien, joined the adventure, turning this little bakery into a full-fledged family run business—where every croissant, baguette, and pastry is made with love (and a bit of friendly competition in the kitchen).

Today, the Garcia family proudly runs two locations and brings their artisan delights to the local farmers’ market each week, sharing the warmth and tradition of a true French boulangerie with the Sarasota community.
